Project Compassion
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our Project Compassion fund- raising this Lent. Our fund-raising started on Shrove Tuesday with our gold coin donations and across these past weeks it has been pleasing watching our children drop more coins into the Caritas boxes.
On Monday afternoon we will be conducting some classroom based activities as a finale to our fund-raising efforts so please consider bringing in any spare change you have. One of the activities will be counting up the coins in each of classroom boxes and laying them out in a coin trail. I wonder which class will have the longest line?
Our social justice initiatives are a lovely opportunity to teach our children how to be grateful for the gifts we have been given. The stories of children across the world living in poverty should make us more aware and appreciative of the simple gifts of fresh water, healthcare and education.
We thank you for your generosity and for taking advantage of this opportunity for your child to show compassion to others. Every small silver coin can make a BIG difference.
