Arriving from Overseas

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Primary School opened in 1954 to proudly serve the growing number of migrant families arriving in the Latrobe Valley for work opportunities.  From initially being a destination for European families our school has experienced over a time different waves of migration patterns where families have joined us to take advantage of the many varied and exciting work opportunities.  Our current school community is a beautiful diverse mix of many cultures and backgrounds.  We welcome all families regardless of their faith or cultural background to join us.  We have had many families join us recently from across the globe so we have the experience to help your child with any potential language and cultural needs.

Migrating can be a challenging time for both parents and children but at St.Vincent's we go out of our way to welcome and assist you.

How to Enrol?

Our website has the required documentation that is required to begin the enrolment process.  We are always available to support families through this process so please free feel to reach out to our wonderful Administration Team.  Our team are skilled in helping families through the enrolment process and they pride themselves on working with families to make enrolment a smooth and welcoming experience.

Visa considerations:

All Australian schools receive funding from the Federal and State Governments and are obligated to abide by similar rules in regards student eligibility to be enrolled.  At St. Vincent's our staff are able to assist you with this process to reduce the confusion and concern.  Many new families from overseas are arriving to take up employment opportunities and our Admin Team are able to quickly assess your child's enrolment.
