Dear Families

Well done everyone for making it to the middle of the year.  We have so much give thanks for so far in 2025.  We have had celebrated success both in and out of our classrooms, and can I take this moment to thank all the students, staff and families for their efforts across the past two terms.

As we head towards two weeks of rest and relaxation can I wish everyone a safe break.  These past few weeks I have been sharing the message of online safety with the children.  At assembly this week I spoke about the upcoming break as a high-risk time due to so many children (and adults) being online due to the colder weather.  I urge all parents to take the time to read some of the attached Tip Sheets from our Cybersafety partner, Inform & Empower.  I'm also more than happy to catchup with any parents who wish to learn more about the risks that typically face primary school aged children of all ages.

This week we provided our children with an opportunity to follow in the footsteps of our namesake, St Vincent de Paul.  Reaching out to those in need in Paris in the early 1600's, St Vincent set an example to others to reach out to those around us in the simplest of ways.  It was heart-warming to see our children arriving at school on Winter Wednesday an placing their donation under their House Team tree.  We thank everybody for their generosity of spirit and know that these simple gifts will physically, and emotionally, comfort someone in need these Winter.  Well done all you Mini-Vinnies!

I wish all families and staff a terrific break over the next fortnight.  In particular we wish Mr Mahoney a safe trip as he spends Term 3 on Long Service Leave.
