Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,
As we approach the end of a rewarding and eventful term, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on all the wonderful achievements we have celebrated together and to thank each and every one of you for your support and dedication.
Firstly, a huge congratulations to all our students for their hard work, enthusiasm, and positive attitude this term. You have truly demonstrated what it means to be a part of this vibrant school community. Whether it was in the classroom, on the sports field, or through your involvement in extracurricular activities, your efforts have been outstanding, and we are incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished.
I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to our wonderful staff and leadership team. Your commitment to nurturing and supporting our students continues to be an inspiration. Thank you for your tireless efforts, creativity, and unwavering dedication to making our school a place where every student feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
A special thank you is also due to our parents. You play a crucial role in ensuring our students thrive, and we are grateful for the partnership we share with you. The engagement of parents during our recent Parent-Teacher Interviews was very encouraging and we look forward to these regular opportunities each term.
This term has been filled with many exciting and positive moments. We celebrated First Communion for our students, a deeply meaningful and joyful occasion. We have also seen incredible success in our sporting programs, with many of our students demonstrating exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our new playground addition has brought a wonderful new space for our students to enjoy, and we are thrilled with the positive impact it has already had on their playtime.
One of the highlights this term has been the generosity shown by our school community in supporting Project Compassion. Your contributions will make a real difference in the lives of those in need, and we are so proud of the compassion and kindness demonstrated by our students, families, and staff.
As we approach the Easter break, it is a time for reflection. The message of Easter offers hope, renewal, and new beginnings. I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on this season and to consider participating in some of the parish Easter events as a family. It’s a wonderful way to come together in faith and community.
Finally, I wish each and every one of you a safe, joyful, and holy Easter. May this time bring peace and renewal to you and your loved ones. We look forward to welcoming you back for what promises to be another exciting term ahead.
Have a terrific break. I look forward to seeing everyone back for a very short first week of Term 2.
Dave
We extend our congratulations to our children who celebrated their First Communion over the weekend. As a school we are very proud of them and they deserved to be praised for the respectful way they participated. Can I also thank the parents, staff and in particular Mr.Greenslade for supporting these children as they prepared for this beautiful sacrament.
We congratulate the following children and their families:
AVA, AUDREY, BEAU, BRUNO, ELI, KULANI, LUCY, QUINN & WALTER
As we journey through Lent we are called to think about others. Project Compassion, a social justice fund raiser of Caritas Australia, gives us the opportunity to reach out to support a variety projects across the country and globe.
Across the season of Lent, starting on Ash Wednesday, we have given our students the opportunity to learn more about the three key actions of Lent - Praying, Fasting and Almsgiving. Almsgiving is the act of reaching out to others. This week we celebrated our generosity and showcased how our donations to Caritas (however big or small) make a significant difference. We thank all our children for their acts of almsgiving as we applaud your kindness and sense of responsibility to help others.
Thank you to our student leaders who lead our on-line assembly presentation that was streamed into classrooms on Monday afternoon.
